DESCRIPTION:A free fun glow-in-the-dark event for children ages 0 to 13. The younger ki
 ds would run ½ mile, with the 7 & 8-year-olds running 1 mile, an
 d the older kids running 2 miles. Free t-shirts and snacks will be provided
  while supplies last. <br/> <br/>Annual America's Armed Forces Kid's Run is
  here! Don't miss the opportunity to participate in this family fun activit
 y and be part of Armed Forces Day in over 135 military installations worldw
 ide. This is a safe and interactive way to promote self-esteem and physical
  fitness for our youth. . You can register by calling the YC, online @ www.
 americaskidsrun.org, or on the day of the event. A free t-shirt and snack w

 part of Armed Forces Day activities in May each year, military dependents h
 ere in the United States, in Bahrain, Greece, Puerto Rico, Germany, Japan, 
 Iceland, England, and Italy will participate in America's Kids Run.<br/>The
  annual event began in 1986 as Junior Bloomsday, the child's answer to the 
 annual Bloomsday race that so captivates the Inland Northwest in early May 
 each year. Mike, whose own boys were too young for Bloomsday in 1986, notic
 ed that despite their ambitions, most children just couldn't manage the 7.4
 6-mile Bloomsday course. So he decided a Run for children would capture the
  excitement of the annual Bloomsday run; thus Junior Bloomsday was born.<br
