Child Development Center

The Child Development Center provides quality care to children ages six weeks to five years. They provide a positive, safe and nurturing environment which allows children to choose their activities in a variety of learning centers. They offer a balance of teacher-initiated, child-initiated, indoor, outdoor, quiet and large motor skill activities that enhance self-esteem, social, cognitive, creative and physical abilities. The Laughlin AFB CDC is staffed by highly trained caregivers who undergo a rigorous background investigation before employment. The Laughlin AFB CDC is now available to non-DoD Federal Agencies. In addition to full-time childcare the CDC offers the following services: Give Parents a Break, Child Care for PCS, Returning Home Care and Child Care for Volunteers.

School Age Care

Our School Age Care program is available to youth in Kindergarten through age 12. They offer before and after school care as well as care on non-school days other than Federal Holidays. The program aims to provide learning experiences to build on our youth's interests and assist them in growing into competent, independent and productive citizens. Activities provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.

Youth Programs

Youth Programs at Laughlin AFB provides a safe and nurturing environment that focuses on five core areas that enhance the quality of life for Laughlin AFB youth.  All programs focus on:  character and leadership, education and career development, health and life skills, fitness and physical activity.  The youth center offers indoor and outdoor play areas, a teen room, field trips, clubs, sports leagues, guest speakers, classes, teen nights and more.

Family Child Care

The Laughin Family Child Care (FCC) Program serves military and DoD civilians by offering quality care in a home environment at an afforable rate for children ages 2 weeks to 12 years. This program provides parents an alternative to center-based child care programs, like the CDC and Youth Center. FCC covers care for families that need full-time, part-time, hourly, evening and weekend care, care for children with special needs, mildly ill children, infants and school age children, care during swing and midnight shifts, and extended duty care. FCC ensures that children are cared for in a warm, loving, and safe home environment.
