Event Title: 2nd Annual Cardboard Boat Race

Audience: Anyone with base access, anyone who wants to gain their sea legs

Event Description: Anchors Away! Join Outdoor Recreation for our 2nd Annual Cardboard Boat Race! Gather up a crew (2-4 people) and work together to build a boat worthy of a pirate using only Duct Tape and cardboard. Races will be held at Friendship Pool where crews will put their creations to the test head-to-head. Teams are encouraged to express their creativity through their designs, and costumes are welcomed!

Why Attend: This is a fun and family-friendly event where people can express their creativity and create lasting memories together. Even if you do not wish to participate in the event, it's sure to be filled with loads of laughter.

Cost: Pool entry fee

Specific Verbiage: Participants must sign up for the event prior to July 4th at Outdoor Recreation. Outdoor Recreation will provide paddles to all teams; however, cardboard and Duct Tape must be supplied by the participants. Teams must consist of two to four members, two of which will ride in the boat.
