Disc Golf
Come try our Disc Golf Course located at Outdoor Recreation. Use of course is FREE! Disc Golf kit rentals and scorecards are available at ODR. Great way to get some fresh air, spend time on our trails, and challenge yourself and others to a fun game.
Equipment Rental
Having a party and need equipment? Want to go paddling on Lake Amistad? ODR rents everything from canopies and camping tents to tables and chairs; inflatable bounce houses for your little ones' party or dunk tanks and charcoal/gas grills for your unit functions; mountain bikes, sleeping bags, and much more.
- Call ODR to check availability; certain items may not be available during special events. 24-hour notice is required for full cancellation refunds. Cancellations within 24-hours forfeit deposit/payments.
- All reservations require full payment to secure your items. No voluntary holds are allowed. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Guests are required to sign rental contracts at the time of pick-up and drop-off and will be responsible for any damages or changes to the condition of the equipment that occurred during the rental period.
- Many large rental items require large vehicles or towing capabilities, please check with ODR Staff at the time of reservation for vehicle and transportation requirements.

FamCamp
FamCamp is a premier campground located at Laughlin Air Force Base. Our facility offers a variety of amenities to ensure your stay with us is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Take advantage of our sand volleyball court, playground, and access to full hookups (water, electric, and sewer.) We also provide a free laundry facility on-site, allowing you to keep your clothes fresh and clean without having to leave the campground. Come experience the best camping experience at FamCamp!
Friendship Pool
Friendship Pool is the perfect summer destination for families and individuals seeking a refreshing and fun swimming experience. Our seasonal outdoor swimming pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and offers a range of exciting features to keep visitors entertained. From our swimming rock climbing wall to the water slide, and a kiddie pool, there's something for everyone. Our lifeguards ensure a safe environment for swimmers, and our pool deck provides ample space for lounging and relaxing in the sun. Whether you're looking for a place to cool off, splash around, or just unwind under the sun, Friendship Pool is the perfect spot to do so. Come visit us and make some unforgettable summer memories with your family and friends.
Skeet and Trap
The Skeet and Trap range is open from dawn to dusk every day. A certified range saftey officer must be present to use the facilty. Outdoor Recreation does NOT provide clays, firearms, or ammo. Please call Outdoor Recreation to reserve the facilty.
Southwinds Marina
Southwinds Marina is the ultimate destination for all your water activity needs. Our marina features a range of amenities and services, including cabin rentals, campsites, and water activities for visitors of all ages. Whether you want to spend the day on the water or relax in a cozy cabin by the lake, we have something for everyone. Our boat slip rental and boat towing services ensure that your watercraft stays safe and secure when not in use, and our dry storage rental provides a convenient option for those who prefer to keep their boats on land. Equipment rentals are also available for kayaks, paddle boards, boats, and canoes so you can enjoy a fun day out on the water with family and friends. Come visit us at Southwinds Marina and experience the best of what Laughlin AFB has to offer.
Paintball
Gear up for adrenaline-pumping fun! Experience the thrill of paintball at our range, perfect for birthday parties, squadron events, or friendly battles. Paintballs available for purchase at Outdoor Recreation.
Pavilions
Outdoor Recreation offers five pavilions located next to FamCamp available for party rentals. These palivions are equipped with bathroom facilities, lighting, electrical outlets, trash cans, recycling, and grills. The pavilions have everything you may need for an outdoor get together.
Recharge 4 Resiliency (R4R)
Throughout the year, Outdoor Recreation offers a number of Recharge 4 Resiliency (R4R) events targeted towards different demographics present at Laughlin AFB. These events range in programming from hiking trips, kayaking trips, horseback riding, skydiving, bowling, and much more! Check out our calendar of events for what is upcoming.
RV/Boat Storage
Located conveniently on Laughlin Air Force Base and Southwinds Marina, our two secure storage lots are available on a first-come, first serve basis with priority for Active Duty Service Members. To inquire on availability, please contact ODR.
